Reading 3.0 相關事宜
對於仍然未能在 AppStore 下載『Reading – 悅讀港民』之用戶，本人特此深表歉意。直到目前為止（2009年7月18日）程式仍然未能獲得 AppStore 的認可及推出。以下是『Reading – 悅讀港民』的發表日誌：

| 2009年7月1日 11:16 | 收到 Jeffery 通知 Reading 3.0 出現問題，用戶無法下載任何內容。 |
| 2009年7月2日 早上 | 由於 server DNS 出現問題，仍然有很多用戶未能下載內容，我跟 Jeffery 決定先把 Reading 3.0 從 AppStore 拿下來以免更多人受影響。 |
| 2009年7月2日 傍晚 | DNS 問題解決，Reading 3.0 用戶可正常取得內容。 |
| 2009年7月6日 | 重新上載 Reading 3.0.1 到 iTune Store 審核。 |
| 2009年7月13日 05:07 | 收到 iPhone Developer Program 的電郵通知「We encountered a file corruption issue with Reading 悅讀港民 3.0.1. Please re-upload your binary to iTunes Connect so we may continue with the review process. We apologize for any inconvenience.」?????????????????? 什麼?!!!!!!!!! 整整一個星期才跟我說 file corruption? 不可以早一點說嗎？ 在 iTune Store上載的時候不是說上載成功的嗎？ |

Something bad, something good
Bad news comes first. Reading were rejected in the last submission in Hong Kong and Taiwan due to no checking of internet connection on startup. Stupid me and stupid Apple. Why didn’t Apple reject my very first submission? The problem is always there since the first release.
The good news is, I have re-submitted the applications together with one more major piece of function: OFFLINE READING. Yes, after all I have done it regardless of my concern about the legitimacy of this function. I hope those who wants this feature will like it and enjoy it.

Reading 介面小改良
今天同時間更新並上傳了「Reading 悅讀港民」及「台灣報好你知」。且看蘋果今次要用多少時間去處理並發放這兩個類似的軟體。到底是香港 App Store 比較快還是台灣 App Store 比較快。上一次更新好像等了一至兩個星期。
今次更新主要是針對用戶的意見反映，在文字模式下加入了字體大小設定功能，標題列表改為更容易看的黑色字。香港版另外加入了健康頻道，同時亦簡化了用戶介面來提高穩定性及速度。

很喜歡台灣，閒時亦會閱讀台灣新聞。既然已有香港的 Reading ，台灣又有 App Store，便順理成章寫了台灣版 Reading – 台灣報好你知。香港版跟台灣版功能大致相同，只是台灣 Yahoo! 奇摩新聞提供更多不同的 RSS 新聞頻道。

Changes on Gohan Twitter Feed
Refined the feed such that only highest or lowest rated user reviews will be shown, no traffic data is posted. This is due to some recent user complaints about the feed being flooded with useless information.
Reading, coming next
Minor update:
- Email full text content to friend
- Post news heading and link to your Twitter account
- Change icon (too many complaints……)
Unfortunately I can’t update Reading until next year as iTunes Connect is closed during Christmas.
Gohan 1.33 開發者話
開發此版本時，一直在想如何可以把用戶聯繫起來，讓他們彼此分享和交流。1.0 的出現只是為用戶提供一個搜尋工具，並未達到互動的效果。而 1.33 就是在這個搜尋根基上為用戶提供一個更開放、更容易分享資訊的飲食交流平台。
作為一個業餘開發者，不得不考慮如何在有限的時間及資源下獲得最理想的效果，以達到以上的目的。
透過 flickr 及 twitter 的應用，一方面可以免除儲存上的限制，另一方面更可擴大使用層面。用戶不再受制於單一平台或程式，透過不同的使用方式用戶可取得相同的資訊。即使不是 iPhone 的用戶，亦可在 flickr 或 twitter 上獲得同樣資訊。其他程式開發員亦可共用 Gohan 的資源。
Gohan 仍處於起步階段，可以改進的地方仍有很多。Gohan 能否發揮應有的效用有賴用戶的參與。無論如何，希望 Gohan 能為 iPhone 用戶帶來更多生活上的方便。

- 結合 flickr 相片功能。用戶可為食店加入相片並即時上傳到 flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/gohanhk)
- 結合 twitter 功能。提供即時用戶意見及食店人流情況 (http://twitter.com/gohanhk)
- 顯示最新食店評價以及活躍用戶的意見
- 提供簡易的方式匯報食店資料問題

Thanks for those who wrote me email and gave useful feedback. Last but not least, thanks for those who installed this application. Your support is crucial to this application.
Fragile Development
Gohan and Reading follow closely to fragile development process, which is known for:
- No unit testing
- No continuous integration
- No documentation
- No code comment
- No code style checking
- No pair programming
- No user story
- No stupid story cards (no wasting of natural resources)
- No iteration planning
- No morning stand-up
My thought just works.
Offline Reading. Illegal? Or not?

App Store Deployment Experience So Far
沮喪、失望、憤怒。
由申請 iPhone Developer Program 到正式獲得批准，足足等左一個月。
由遞交第一個程式，到忍唔住 send email 去追，到最後出現 App Store，前後又等多一個月。
期間一封 confirmation / acknowledgement email 都冇收倒，所有野去晒黑洞。
比 99 蚊美金出嚟，免費為人寫軟件，再換來一堆不滿與無奈。咁傻仔嘅事真係無幾多人去做。

Having said that, developing on iPhone is enjoyable.
Gohan 1.0 Released
on 16th November 2008, Gohan 1.0 suddenly got approved and available on App Store too! Of my surprise, things just happened.
The name Gohan 御飯情報, is coming from Japanese ご飯情報. The appropriate pronunciation of this name should be somewhat like “哥慳” in Cantonese.
version 1.0 supports most basic searching and information lookup of restaurants, nothing fancy, so stay tuned for the upcoming versions.
Reading 1.0 Released
on 14th November 2008, Reading 1.0 finally got approved and is available at App Store.
Reading is a very simple Yahoo! HK RSS news reader. I started this project merely out of my own fun. Also because I owned a mac and iphone.
